Lyrics for Handclapping Games

I am presenting on the Magic of Handclapping Games at the UFV.  It is the Early Learning in the Valley conference.

Here are the words to two of the handclapping games we will be using as part of the presentation. You can find videos on youtube showing how to play the games.

Miss Mary Mack.

Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack
All dressed in  black, black, black.
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons.
All down her back, back, back.

She asked her mother, mother, mother.
For fifty cents, cents, cents.
To see an elephant, elephant, elephant.
Jump over a fence, fence, fence.

It jumped so high, high, high.
It touched the sky, sky, sky.
And he didn’t come back, back, back.
Till the fourth of July ly ly ly.

A Sailor Went to Sea

A sailor went to sea sea sea
To see what he could see see see
But all that he could see see see
Was the bottom of the deep blue sea sea sea

A sailor went to China
To see what he could China
But all that he could China
Was the bottom of the deep blue China.

A sailor went to chop chop chop
To see what he could chop chop chop
But all that he could chop chop chop
Was the bottom of the deep blue chop chop chop

A sailor went to skee bop a doo
To see what he could skee bop a doo
But all that he could skee bop a doo
Was the bottom of the deep blue skee bop a doo

A sailor went to sea sea sea
To see what he could China
But all that he could chop chop chop
Was the bottom of the deep blue skee bop a doo.
